The P055H018-IPS-V3 is a 5.5 inch TFT LCD module that targets smart terminals ranging from mid to high-end. IPS full-view technology is employed while the main driver is ST7703, a professional chip. Being in portrait mode, the screen resolution can reach 720×1280 pixels (HD) along with a high pixel density, wide color gamut coverage, and a high-speed MIPI interface. These features can turn any smartphone, industrial tablet, in-vehicle central control, medical device, security monitoring, and high-end consumer electronic into a perfect integrated display and touch interaction solution.
With a backlight measuring 300 cd/m², LED is employed in a side-entry way that is not only thin but also uniform and very efficient in light emission. The display is still very visible when it is double the normal indoor lighting or even semi-outdoor lighting condition. By combining the Normally Black display mode along with high contrast, it is possible to create deep and pure dark scenes, while still bright areas can hold on to rich details. The dynamic range is wide, while text and icon edges are kept sharp and clear on dark-themed interfaces. 720×1280 resolution on 5.5-inch panel means a pixel density that is very fine, with UI text being very clear, icons being very sharp, and vertical information scrolling and HD video presentation being especially outstanding.
