The panel uses the RGB565 parallel bus interface, and the 40-pin ribbon cable connection is stable and provides enough signal bandwidth to allow smooth refresh without tearing. RGB565 format represents colors in 16-bit, compromising on maximum color performance while reducing data bandwidth requirements, thus making it compatible with the limited resources of embedded controllers. The driver IC ST7701S is not only tailored for high-resolution bar panels but also includes a hardware image rotation engine that can support 90°/180°/270° rotation of the content, thus not burdening the main controller with additional computation, and improving development efficiency.
